Problem finally solved. Eventually, I went out and bought a new ASUS P5 main board AND a new CPU (2.2 Dual Core Intel), and was 100% sure this would work and happy to have If not it will not heat up even if the motherboard and processor both are good. It was devastating. Beep pattern should change to one long and several short beeps indicating a missing graphics card. Remove it and then power on the pc. PLEASE help me im at the end of things to try!!!!
Computer Not Powering On
Put everything back together (minus the modem) and my PC boot right up first try. Please throw some of your astute brain cells my way and see if you could shed some light here? the eraser trick worked perfectly, I was going out of my mind before!
After using the eraser trick my PC restarts as it should and no longer needs multiple power on/off to boot. I have changed my RAM, taken out all non essential PCI cards including PCI E's, taken the RAM out altogether (no post beeps occuring), Unplugged HDD's and changed them around... The Temperature sensor for your processor is preventing damage to your Processor because the fan are not being able to cool it down properly. I'm still a bit sceptical about the eraser removing static electricity. I checked event logs and it had a lot of cd-rom errors.
