And the AC adapter is shot? i just blew once into the lead connecter and once into the charging bit for the cable and Kaboom the laptop is now charging. So my suggestion to anyone having this problem is: go to eBay and pick up a replacement charger for under 10 bucks and see if that fixes it. With the computer on, took out the battery and put it in again.
The status says 13%, charging but never moves and when I unplug the adapter it immediately dies. And again charged it to 100%. If you still have the issue try updating the chipset driver and reboot. Batteries wear out very quickly if kept fully charged all the time.
I will have to wait another 2 months before deciding that this is a permanent solution to a poor design.
